- Role Overview As part of a global team, we are looking for a local Cloud Engineer with strong experience in AWS/AZURE, Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps CI/CD, and cloud security engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, provisioning and automating cloud resources in AWS and AZURE, while supporting project, product and platform teams in delivering robust cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with Enterprise IT, Delivery teams, architects and other functional partners to ensure that secure and compliant cloud solutions are engineered and deployed effectively. You will also serve as a cloud engineering and security consultant, helping teams comply with enterprise security policies, industry regulations and cloud best practices. Key Responsibilities Cloud Engineering: Configure, deploy and maintain cloud resources in AWS/AZURE to support enterprise applications, platforms and services. Infrastructure as Code: Develop, maintain and enhance reusable infrastructure templates and modules to automate cloud provisioning and ensure consistency across environments. AWS /AZURE Platform Delivery: Work with core AWS/AZURE to build secure, scalable and highly available cloud solutions. CI/CD Enablement: Build and support cloud-based DevOps and CI/CD workflows using tools to improve deployment speed, quality and reliability. Container Platforms: Support containerised workloads and modern application deployment patterns, contributing to platform engineering and operational best practices. Database Support: Work with both relational and document-based databases to support application hosting, integration and performance requirements. Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and operational tooling using to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and support operational excellence. Cloud Security Advisory: Act as a cloud security and engineering consultant for project teams, helping them align with enterprise and IT security policies, regulatory requirements and cloud security best practices. Troubleshooting and Operations: Investigate, diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment and application-related issues in cloud environments, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability. Requirements & Skills Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud solutions in AWS / AZURE within enterprise-scale environments. Deep knowledge of core AWS services, including IAM, CloudFormation, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, Route 53 and Security Groups, with the ability to apply them to build secure, scalable and highly available solutions. Solid expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, including development of module, reusable and maintainable infrastructure templates and deployment patterns. Proven experience implementing and supporting DevOps and CI/CD practices in cloud environments, with hands-on knowledge of AWS CodeBuild, Amazon ECR and GitHub Actions. Strong understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, with experience supporting modern application deployment architectures. Good knowledge of both relational and document-oriented database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL and DynamoDB, and their operational considerations in cloud-hosted environments. Strong scripting and automation skills using Linux Shell, Python, or at least one other relevant programming language, with the ability to build tooling that improves efficiency, quality and operational consistency. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues spanning cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, networking and application platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to operate effectively in a global environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to work across engineering, architecture, security, operations, delivery and business teams in a complex matrix organisation. Possess strong knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts with hands-on experience in AI-driven solutions. Skilled in integrating AI capabilities to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and build intelligent applications. Preffered Qualifications AWS / AZURE Certification is a plus. Good understanding of cloud security architecture, secure engineering principles, identity and access management, network security, encryption and compliance considerations in cloud environments. Experience working closely with security, Enterprise IT, delivery and platform teams to ensure cloud solutions meet enterprise security policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Ability to act as a senior cloud engineering advisor, providing practical guidance to project teams on secure solution design, infrastructure patterns, risk mitigation and cloud governance. Generative AI and Agentic AI knowledge, with working experience using AI tools
