职位介绍: Platform Engineering Lead The role will establish and operate a modern DevOps practice and perform SRE towards the successful delivery and operation of a B2B2C/D2C digital platform. Other than DevOps and SRE, the role will provide day-to-day solution architecture support for the successful delivery and operation of the digital platform, working with enterprise architects to ensure alignment to enterprise architecture practices and standards. The role will also support the Product Owner on day-to-day technical matters, liaising with other leads in the Technology Department and/or with delivery partners. The role reports into the Technology Department and works in a cross-functional team Key Responsibilities DevOps, SRE Lead DevOps enablement for the digital platform, including CI/CD pipeline improvements, release automation, environment promotion controls, and deployment quality practices. Establish and embed SRE practices, including observability, service monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident readiness, and RCA discipline. Improve deployment frequency, reduce lead time for changes, and strengthen release safety. Drive production readiness across services through runbooks, dashboards, logging standards, alert tuning, and operational handover practices. Support reduction of Sev 1 / Sev 2 incidents and improve MTTR through stronger resilience and runtime support standards. Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery Provide day-to-day solution architecture support, guiding technical design and implementation decisions during delivery. Ensure solution implementation aligns with approved architecture principles, enterprise standards, and non-functional requirements. Apply practical design patterns for resilience, scalability, recoverability, and operability, including retries, queuing, idempotency, circuit breakers, and failover handling. Escalate material architecture changes, design deviations, or strategic architecture decisions for advisory review and approval through appropriate architecture governance channels. Work closely with engineering teams and vendors to translate approved designs into deliverable, supportable, and maintainable solutions. API, Integration & Runtime Enablement Support implementation of API and integration patterns, including reliability, observability, performance, and supportability considerations. Work with internal and external teams to improve integration consistency, service behaviour, and partner onboarding readiness. Ensure messaging and event-driven patterns are implemented in a scalable and recoverable manner where applicable. Security & Identity Implementation Work with cybersecurity and architecture functions to ensure approved security and identity requirements are implemented. Support secure-by-design implementation in areas such as secrets handling, identity integration, application protection, and logging standards. Contribute to reducing recurring code and security issues through better engineering discipline and remediation follow-through. Cybersecurity governance, risk oversight, and security approvals remain outside this role and under the relevant security governance function. Cloud Cost, Quality & Governance Together with cloud engineers, support cloud cost visibility and optimisation through tagging discipline, right-sizing recommendations, utilisation reviews, and engineering usage improvements. Promote delivery governance and engineering discipline, including code quality, operational readiness, and consistency of implementation. Coordinate with delivery partners and vendors to ensure adherence to agreed technical, operational, and security standards. Leadership & Ways of Working Provide hands-on technical leadership, especially for backend and platform-related delivery. Coach engineers and delivery teams on resilience, DevOps, observability, and production support practices. Act as a technical focal point during implementation, helping resolve day-to-day delivery issues and aligning teams around practical execution standards. Requirements 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or technical delivery roles, with at least 5 years in cloud-based solution delivery. Proven experience leading DevOps and SRE practices, including CI/CD, monitoring/logging, incident management, RCA, SLOs, and production readiness. Strong hands-on experience in solution architecture for digital applications, APIs, and integrations in cloud environments. Practical experience with Azure and/or AWS services relevant to digital application delivery, such as APIM, Functions / APIs, Service Bus, Key Vault, App Gateway / WAF, Storage, and observability tooling. Experience designing and implementing resilience patterns for distributed systems and external integrations. Ability to guide engineering teams and vendors in implementation quality, runtime reliability, and operational discipline. Practical experience in cloud cost awareness and optimisation in collaboration with delivery and finance stakeholders. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across programme, technology, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams. Relevant cloud architecture or cloud platform certification preferred. Desirable Experience in digital platform delivery involving customer-facing journeys and partner ecosystems. Familiarity with insurance digital distribution or policy servicing platforms. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, container platforms, and cloud-native delivery models. Experience working in regulated environments with multiple governance stakeholders.
