Business Development Manager_Seals Reporting Line Manager: Head of Seals Location: Shanghai MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: * Identify the new business areas and market niche and unmet market gaps, set up new business development strategy and planning. * Drive product development, product line, sales and distributors to achieve the planned business goal and target. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: * Bachelor’s degree or above, competent at English, knowledge of   engineering * Major in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Knowledge / Skills: * At least 5 years working experience in product marketing or business development, solid Project Management skill is needed. * Effective communicator and integrator * Able to balance technical solutions with time, cost, and human factors. * Well organized and disciplined. * Able to identify problems and to make decisions. * Understanding of the organization and the business * Understanding of full value chain – marketing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and the concept of profitability * Ability to translate business requirements into project requirements. * Outside-in and customer value driven. * Do things with high ethics and integrity. * Strong with prioritizing and work well under pressure * Strong learning ability * Good analytical and data processing skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify potential growing segments applications, conduct pre-study and build business cases in order to provide basis of management decisions. * Understand market and industry trends, as well as key players behaviors. * Develop, implement and follow up on growth strategies and goals with an outside-in approach. * Accountable for offers, portfolio, value proposition and go-to-market models in new/growing market by working closely with key stakeholders such as sales, product management and manufacturing. * Identify business opportunities and generate sales leads via online/offline. * Responsible for distributors guidance and competence development of industry * Act as Project Manager or Sponsor in new offer development projects. * Plan project activities, tasks, and end-results, which includes but not limited to create work breakdown, schedule & budget, and coordinating tasks and allocating resources. * Interface with and influence various stakeholders. * Negotiate with and integrate functional managers, suppliers, users, and top management.
