- Job Duties: • Ensure final product design meets all charter requirements including appearance, feature/function, applicable international/national/local law & regulation, cost and lead-time requirements, etc. • Take lead on 3D/2D, create solid CAD models of components and assemblies by utilizing Solidworks and Creo software. Create engineering drawings and BOMs for prototype and production inspection. Review with tool maker for DFM and close the issues with solutions. • Lead and organize team review on design concepts, 3D/2D, BOM, and prototype evaluation/test result to ensure good quality of mechanical design is delivered on time and meet all criteria. • Follow Windchill ECN/ECR, and Engineering Data Management processes and procedures. Ensure all engineering data is well maintained and controlled. • Follow Prototype process, fabrication and ensure good quality of prototype evaluation is done and reviewed, work out solution to address any test issues. • Ensure smooth communication across all team members, internally and externally. • Lead and ensure effective cross-functional cooperation across all team members and all tasks delivered on time and on target. • Other tasks assigned by supervisor Job Requirements: • Bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Tool Design. • 3+ years of work experience in R&D department on consumer product and/or household appliance development. • 3+ years’ experience using Solidworks or Creo. • Excellent mechanical design knowledge and experience. • Excellent manufacturing knowledge and experience in molded plastic parts, aluminum castings, sheet metal die stamped parts, deep draw steel parts, surface coating processes, • ERP or SAP experience • Excellent communication skills of spoken and written English • Logical thinking with strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills; highly detail oriented • Demonstrates ability to work effectively and independently with a variety of personality types and different business disciplines. • Proven ability to analyze multiple strategies, organize workload and deliver within budget and on time. Demonstrate the capability to focus assigned projects and not stray from the outlined objectives. • Excellent communication skills in order to convey vision and rationale with above average verbal, written and presentation capabilities. • History of proven New Product Development Success • The ability to work on an unbiased perspective evaluate and provide factual data, written and verbal • A proven track record of success and leadership • Self-motivated and able to work under high pressure.
