- 工作职责Role purpose As part of the growing Product Safety team in China, this role will be responsible for the design and delivery of crop residue trial data in China. This role requires close collaboration with the Syngenta China Product Safety Portfolio, Regulatory, Biology, and Commercial teams to understand detailed project requirements, as well as effective management of Contract Research Organisations (CROs). This role will also interact with the global Product Safety organisation across regions and engage, as needed, with regulatory agencies and scientific organisations within China. 作为植保产品安全中国区团队的重要组成部分，本岗位负责设计和交付我国作物残留试验数据。本岗位要求与产品安全产品线团队、法规登记、药效及商务团队紧密合作，深入了解项目具体需求，同时与选定的试验机构（CRO）合作，管理各类作物残留试验。此外，还需与其他地区和全球产品安全团队进行沟通协调，并与国内监管机构和学会协会等组织开展技术互动与交流。 Accountabilities • Residue chemistry leadership: Act as the residue chemistry subject-matter expert for China, managing the delivery and oversight of residue trials to support the China business. Ensure studies are delivered to agreed scientific and regulatory specifications, aligned to local business priorities, and completed on time and to the required quality standards • Data creation and stewardship: Produce, annotate, tag, manage, and store residue study data so it is findable, shareable, and reusable by internal stakeholders. • Technical problem-solving: Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve key scientific issues, particularly relating to field trial data, analytical data, and chromatography. • CRO management: Build and maintain effective working relationships, governance, and ways of working with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) in China conducting residue trials. • Regulatory insight and guidance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and evolving Chinese residue chemistry regulations and guidelines. Advise project teams on data requirements to meet project needs, including indicative timelines and cost estimates. • External engagement: Participate in discussions with external regulatory agencies (e.g., ICAMA) and other stakeholders regarding the acceptability and use of Syngenta’s residue data. • Global collaboration: Work closely with Syngenta’s global network of residue experts to ensure China requirements are understood and to leverage broader company expertise in support of China projects. 任职要求 Critical success factors & key challenges • Ownership of residue science in China: Take responsibility for delivering the residue science programme and providing subject-matter expertise in China. • Data integrity and compliance: Ensure data integrity across all stages of data generation, collection, and reporting, in line with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards. • Stakeholder credibility and collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships and credibility with Syngenta teams in China and with the global Product Safety function. Knowledge, experience & capabilities Critical knowledge • Technically trained in analytical and/or residue chemistry through a combination of education and work experience. • An understanding of the current and evolving Chinese regulatory guidelines for residue chemistry Critical experience • Conduct of crop residue trials • Presenting and advocating technical solutions • Working in multi-disciplinary project teams Critical technical, leadership and personal capabilities • Proficient ability of analysing, managing and communicating data and information • Ability to build networks internally and externally, good communication skills • Capable of demonstrating good technical judgement • Planning, organizing and monitoring outputs to meet deadlines • Creative problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently whilst also involving others when appropriate • English and Chinese as working language for speaking and writing Additional information • The role will be based in Shanghai or Beijing • A limited amount of travel within China is likely to be required
