职位介绍: About Us： We are a biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of siRNA or ASO-based therapeutics, with a strong emphasis on central nervous system (CNS) diseases. Leveraging proprietary delivery and RNA-silencing or ASO platform, we aim to address genetically defined neurological disorders with high unmet medical need, including epilepsy and developmental epileptic encephalopathies (DEE). Position Summary We are seeking a Principal Scientist or Director with deep expertise in epilepsy research to lead and shape our epilepsy drug discovery efforts. The successful candidate will be a scientific leader responsible for target biology, translational strategy, and preclinical disease modeling, working closely with cross-functional teams to advance programs from concept to IND-enabling stages. This role is ideal for a highly motivated scientist who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech environment and is passionate about translating cutting-edge nucleotide technologies into transformative CNS therapies. Key Responsibilities 1. Scientific Leadership & Strategy 1.1 Provide scientific leadership for epilepsy and DEE programs within the CNS portfolio 1.2 Develop and drive target biology and disease hypotheses aligned with epilepsy pathophysiology 1.3 Define therapeutic strategies (gene knockdown, allele-specific silencing, pathway modulation) appropriate for different epilepsy subtypes 2. Epilepsy Biology & Disease Expertise 2.1 Apply deep understanding of: o Epilepsy and DEE genetics (e.g., ion channels, synaptic genes, signaling pathways) o Network hyperexcitability and circuit dysfunction o Developmental vs adult-onset epilepsy mechanisms 2.2 Serve as internal subject-matter expert on epilepsy biology, clinical phenotypes, and standard of care 3. Preclinical Models & Pharmacology 3.1 Design, select, and interpret in vitro and in vivo epilepsy models, including: o Genetic and acquired seizure models o EEG-based pharmacology and behavioral readouts 3.2 Lead PK/PD, dose-response, and target-engagement strategies 3.3 Integrate pharmacology data with disease biology to guide candidate selection 4.Translational & IND-Enabling Contributions 4.1 Drive translational strategy, including: o Biomarker selection (molecular, electrophysiological, functional) o Human relevance of preclinical models 4.2 Contribute to IND-enabling studies, regulatory documents, and scientific justifications Qualifications Required 1. PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biology, or related discipline 2. Extensive research experience in epilepsy, either in academia or industry 3 Strong understanding of: o Epilepsy disease mechanisms and pathophysiology o Pharmacology and CNS drug discovery principles o Preclinical epilepsy disease models and translational challenges 4. Demonstrated ability to independently drive scientific programs Preferred 1. Industry experience in biotech or pharmaceutical R&D, particularly in CNS 2. Experience with RNA-based therapeutics (siRNA, ASO, or related modalities) 3. Prior involvement in IND-enabling studies or candidate nomination 4. Track record of high-impact publications, patents, or successful program progression Leadership Level Expectations 1. Hands-on scientific leader 2. Leads one or more epilepsy programs 3. Strong experimental and data-driven decision making 4. Sets epilepsy discovery strategy across multiple programs 5. Provides scientific leadership across functions 6. Influences portfolio prioritization and external collaboration
