职位介绍: Main Responsibility: This role is focused on the Discovery pillar of the Innovation function. This team is responsible for identifying and developing cross-category opportunities and technologies to potentially disrupt existing business models or enter adjacent categories, including driving forward the organization’s ESG and Healthier Future agenda. To have impact on the innovation programmer, the Discovery Manager needs to have strong technical background on device development/innovation, and demonstrate curiosity, show collaboration with technical, marketing and sales teams inside the company and outside. A collaborative mindset, excellent influencing and team building skills are also relevant Facilitating development of the innovation funnel:  Support identification of novel innovation opportunity spaces by technical scouting, bring in new technologies that realize future innovation ideas.  Incubate emerging category ideas into product innovation ideas to fulfil business needs  Conduct continual horizon scanning and technology scouting – identify and assess cutting-edge technology for potential use in our products  Understand the industry and competitors from IP point of view, find IP space for Imperial Brands to lead competitive advantage  Look for opportunities of new business models in terms of supporting behavioural change to healthier solutions and higher profitability for new generation products  Leverage a holistic understanding of the business strategy to define and prioritise future innovation opportunities  Support the Head of Discovery to identify, build, and continually optimise the Discovery approach and capabilities needed to support the overall innovation strategy and projects within the pipeline characteristics.
