- Position description: Lead clinical project management team to ensure quality, time and budget deliverables are met to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, and projects are appropriately resourced and employees are trained and developed to meet project needs. Work with related leadership team in formulating effective strategic goals and objectives for designated region and assures operational alignment with senior management priorities. Lead strategic initiatives work with other functional management to develop implementation plans. Responsibilities: Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations, including without limitation: planning, assigning, and directing work; managing performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems; acting as a coach and mentor for subordinates as they develop in their role. Direct the hiring and selection process for new staff by conducting candidate review through participation in the interviewing process. Establish methods to develop and evaluate onboarding processes. Develop standard processes to ensure that staff has the proper materials, systems access and training to complete job responsibilities. Oversee the execution of the training plan, SOP review and mentored training experiences. Project planning, project review, risk management and problem solving to ensure global alignment of work practices across the team to follow the company SOP or project-specific QC processes and achieve exemplary customer service. Ensure that project budget(s) meet financial and company goals. Lead or collaborate with other management and leadership team members to manage and resolve study issues and obstacles. Participate in external communication for issue identification / resolution and customer satisfaction. Be responsible for participating and contributing to the BD project bidding and marketing activities, and to facilitate the success of business exploring and contract award. Act as a key relationship manager for assigned clients; recommend courses of action regarding client management issues; Act as point of contact or oversight for specific customers or programs when necessary. Take on additional responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager. Qualifications: Education and Experience: A 4-year BS (Bachelor of Science) degree or equivalence experience. Advanced degree is a plus. 10-year relevant work experience in clinical operations with 6 years’ leadership experience is preferred. Skills and Competencies: In depth knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements. Excellent customer management and problem resolving skills. To be proactive, flexible, organized, and aim to mitigate risk, understanding plans and outcomes fluctuate, and be highly communicative during the entire process. Good in maintaining good working relationships with sponsors and project team members. Fluent communication of speaking and writing in English.
