职位介绍: PURPOSE Implement the Fabric Sourcing strategy within the framework of the Product Group strategy, aligning this to company value position while driving fashion / market trends and newness. Deliver products that exceed customer expectations of quality, value and sustainability. EXPECTATION New Fabric Developments - What is next = On the ground at the Mills Consolidation of key fabrications for harmonisation for better quality at a better price Quality Assurance - On the Ground Woven, Denim, knit and technical developments covering newness. Managing Greige Researching Dye Stuff, Printing Techniques and product development with Mills Re-engineering of fabrics for cost and quality benefit. JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES Provides standardized fabric options. Secures Greige. Liase with Dye & Finishing Houses. Secure and negotiate best prices. Arrange and facilitate Possible Deposits if necessary to assist with pricing where possible. Facilitate deposits with Manufacturers where necessary. Manages Quality assurance and quality Control (Fabric testing, Fabric Inspection, Factory visits, Mills and Lab correlation). Keep abreast of local and overseas raw material developments in line with key trends of the season. Contribute to and implement the Fabric Sourcing strategy in line with the trend and value needs of company’s customer. Manage and implement the fabric development and execution. Development and maintenance of Resource centers. Manage specifications and technical packs to ensure product meets technical performance & quality expectations. Develop and maintain a seamless relationship with key stakeholders i.e. design, sourcing, quality and buying. REQUIREMENTS Degree of Diploma in relevant clothing related field. 5 - 8 years Sourcing or technical experience in retail and/or manufacturing (Essential). Knowledge of fibre and yarn manufacturing (natural & synthetic). Knowledge of manufacturing processes (knitting and weaving). Knowledge of fabric sourcing, dyeing, printing and finishing. Experience in problem solving issues arising at fabric / manufacturing process.
