职位介绍: (Sr.) Electrical Engineer Reports to: Electrical Engineering Manager About the Role The (Sr.) Electrical Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end execution of electronics and firmware across Conair’s product portfolio—including hair dryers, clippers, coffee makers, and blenders. You will own schematic design, constraint-driven PCB layout, power/motor/heating control, EMC, mains safety, and electrical sign-off. This role translates Product Development’s electrical architecture and control intent into manufacturable, validated solutions, while challenging and customizing supplier, ODM, and JDM electronics. As you progress, you will expand into full in-house board design and firmware leadership, ultimately shaping reusable platforms and standards for the discipline. Key Responsibilities • Electrical Design Execution: Deliver schematics, PCB layouts, reference designs, and validation data; author full board designs for in-house and JDM programs. • Supplier Evaluation: Review supplier/ODM/JDM PCBA against design intent, identify CTQs/CTFs, and challenge circuit, layout, and component execution. • Safety & Compliance: Execute and sign off mains, heater, and motor safety (isolation, creepage/clearance, leakage, hi-pot, surge, EFT/ESD immunity, abnormal thermal, derating, cutoffs, watchdog/failsafe). • EMC & Certification: Drive EMC and safety pre-compliance/certification; coordinate UL, FCC, and CE approvals with US engineering counterparts; adapt boards for regional voltage/frequency requirements. • Verification & Risk Management: Build electrical DVP&R, produce DFMEA and margin data, raise evidence-backed risks to EPM, and document closure records. • Production Test & DFT: Own ICT/FCT coverage, factory programming, calibration, fixtures, traceability, obsolescence control, and FPY closure. • Firmware Development: Deliver embedded C/ASM firmware for motor/heating control, product state machines, PID loops, fault lockouts, and safety locks from concept to mass production. • Platform Ownership: Maintain firmware reference libraries and HW/FW contracts; at Staff/Principal level, own reusable electrical/firmware platforms, reference designs, and standards. Qualifications • Experience: o P2: 3–5 years in electronics design. o P3: 5+ years with concept-to-production ownership of product families. o P4: 8+ years with platform ownership. o P5: 10+ years leading multiple products to mass production and setting discipline standards. • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Master’s preferred). • Technical Skills: o Schematic capture, constraint-driven PCB layout, circuit simulation. o Power, microprocessor, sensor, heater, and motor-control design. o EMC design/testing, UL/IEC safety, FCC/CE compliance. o DFMEA, DFR, DVP&R, RCA, DFT, ICT/FCT, calibration, traceability, FPY closure. o Embedded C/ASM on 8/16/32-bit MCUs, bare-metal real-time development, PID tuning, UART/I2C/SPI. • Industry Experience: Collaboration with PCBA suppliers and DG-Shenzhen factories; programming, calibration, failure analysis, and end-of-line firmware testing. • Languages: English required; Mandarin preferred for HK-to-DG factory collaboration. Success Metrics • First-pass EMC and safety qualification; reduced FPY and re-spin rates; improved reliability recurrence. • Zero safety-critical control-loop escapes; strong unit-test and regression coverage. • Design-to-cost attainment on electronics BOM; firmware delivered within MCU/flash budget. • Reuse of shared electrical/firmware libraries to reduce cycle time. • EE and firmware deliverables aligned with EPM schedules, with electrical design locked early.
