职位介绍: What you’ll do The Vehicle Dynamics Development Engineer is responsible for the development, tuning, and validation of vehicle dynamics attributes — including handling, steering, ride comfort, and braking performance — across all vehicle programs in the Asia Pacific region. This role bridges R&D engineering and attribute leadership to ensure Volvo vehicles meet global standards while adapting to regional customer expectations and road conditions. •Attribute Development: Lead vehicle dynamics attribute development from concept to SOP, including target setting, CAE correlation, prototype testing, and final validation. •Steering & Handling Tuning: Define and optimize steering feel, handling balance, and driver responsiveness through objective metrics and subjective assessments. •Ride Development: Evaluate and refine suspension kinematics, damping curves, and bushing characteristics to deliver Volvo's signature "Scandinavian driving experience". •Test Planning & Execution: Design and conduct vehicle-level tests (objective handling, ride, braking) per global standards; analyze test data and translate findings into engineering actions. •Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Chassis, Powertrain, HMI, Safety, and Program teams to deliver integrated vehicle attributes. •Regional Adaptation: Adapt global tuning strategies to Asia-specific road surfaces, climate conditions, and driver preferences. •Documentation: Prepare engineering reports, attribute status documentation, and sign-off presentations for design reviews and certification gates. What you’ll bring •Bachelor's degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. •10+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics area, lead chassis tuning work for at least 2 programs, including tires, damper tuning, EPAS calibration, etc. •Proficiency with measurement and data analysis tools (e.g., CANape, MATLAB/Simulink, ISO-TP/CAN/LIN diagnostics). •Valid driver's license and proven ability to conduct vehicle testing on proving grounds and public roads. •Fluent in English (written and spoken). •Familiar with CAE simulation tools is a strong plus. •Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance objective data and subjective feel. •Proactive, self-driven, with a passion for vehicle dynamics and the driving experience. •Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
