职位介绍: Summary/Objectives The Electrical Approver is responsible for reviewing of technical specification and drawing for newbuilding project. Ensuring final technical authority for marine electrical systems onboard newbuild vessels. This role ensures integrated E designs comply with classification rule, international regulations, client specifications, and shipyard production standards. It is also the responsibility of the E Approver to provide cross-disciplinary technical oversight, bridging electrical engineering to ensure seamless system functionality and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform integrated review and approval of all combined electrical deliverables, including propulsion, power generation, automation, cabling, and the emergency systems Ensure full compliance with classification societies (ABS, DNV, LR, BV, etc,), SOLAS, IEC standards for M&E integrated systems Act as the primary technical bridge electrical design teams to resolve any interdisciplinary conflicts Resolve physical interface issues between piping/ventilation systems and cable routes/equipment locations Ensure control philosophy is implemented in accordance to requirements Validate system safety and integration, including interlocks, redundancy, and emergency system functionality Approve power balance calculations, ensuring they align with machinery operational load profiles Lead 3D model reviews to resolve spatial conflicts and ensure maintenance access for M&E installations Ensure plan approval milestones meet project schedules, production readiness, and operational timelines Support production and commissioning by resolving technical queries and approving installation sequences for integrated E systems. Timely visit of site team to ensure all comments raised are applied accordingly during newbuilding construction Work closely with site team and onboard crew to collect feedback for continuous project improvement Any other adhocs duties Qualifications & Requirements Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 10 years of experience in shipbuilding with significant experience in electrical systems Competency in Marine Electrical Systems Experience in commissioning of equipment Sailing experience would be an added advantage to this role Oil or product tanker experience Owner’s or yards experience preferred Strong analytical and technical drawing interpretation skills (AutoCAD or equivalent). Familiar with vessel systems. Knowledge of classification rules, SOLAS, IEC Excellent attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple plan submissions and maintain quality and timeliness. Experience in plan approval work within a classification society or shipyard. Familiarity with digital plan approval systems or ship management software. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional recognition is an advantage.
