职位介绍: Spare Parts Specialist Position Summary The Spare Parts Specialist is responsible for identifying, validating, and classifying spare parts, ensuring that each part meets the correct specifications and compatibility requirements for its corresponding equipment or model. This role supports procurement, quality control, and sales teams by providing accurate technical information on spare parts, preventing mismatches, and ensuring proper sourcing decisions. Key Responsibilities 1. Parts Identification & Classification Identify and verify spare parts based on technical drawings, OEM catalogs, part numbers, and equipment models. Match customer requirements with the correct part specifications. Classify parts by model, version, manufacturer, and technical attributes. Maintain accurate records of compatible models and alternative/replacement parts. 2. Technical Support for Procurement Support the procurement team to ensure purchased parts comply with required standards. Review supplier quotations, datasheets, and samples for accuracy and compatibility. Communicate with suppliers regarding specifications, alternates, and availability. Assist in evaluating whether parts meet operational, safety, and quality requirements. 3. Quality Assurance & Inspection Coordination Collaborate with the inspection team to confirm that incoming parts match approved specifications. Identify incorrect, counterfeit, or substandard parts. Report discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. 4. Documentation & Catalog Management Maintain and update the internal spare parts database. Build and manage digital catalogs, including technical specs, photos, and cross-reference information. Document alternative options for out-of-stock or discontinued parts. 5. Support to Sales & Customer Service Assist the sales team by validating the correct parts for customer inquiries. Provide technical explanations to help customers select proper parts. Prepare part compatibility confirmations when needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in spare parts identification (automotive, heavy equipment, electrical, machinery, etc.). Strong ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and OEM part catalogs. Solid understanding of mechanical or electrical components and their functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail to prevent part mismatches. Basic knowledge of procurement or quality control processes is a plus. Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred). Good communication skills in English (Spanish or French is a plus depending on region). Preferred Background 2+ years of experience in spare parts, technical service, automotive/machinery stores, or equipment maintenance departments. Experience working with importers, distributors, or large maintenance operations.
