- Job Description: 1. To be responsible for overseeing, developing and establishing layout and packing models, CAD drawings for prototypes and serial production and continuously through the development process to perform tolerance and CAE studies. To ensure that the products meet all relevant specifications and are designed for assembly under normal serial production conditions. 2. To develop and design the product or part from the first idea through the design process and the validation phase until the product is implemented in production. 3. Data administration, preparation of the reviews and the release of components and sub assembly of the product 4. Keep and control design time acc. to project time schedule 5. Prepare change application and related documents 6. Creating and releasing engineering BOM/part list avoiding restricted materials 7. Responsible for the drawings checking 8. Perform DFMEA, design review and design freeze with team 9. Provide technical consultancy or presentations to customers to support new project acquisition effort in China 10. Offer professional advices to engineering teams in Germany to adapt our products to Chinese market 11. Support fixture design for lab use if necessary Job Requirement: 1. Bachelor or above in mechanical engineering background; 2. At least 2 years' experience in CATIA design; 3. Proficient in Catia V5 4. Good computer application skill 5. Good reading and writing English skills 6. Able to use MS office to present all CAD changes to foreign team 7. Experience in assigning tolerances and applying geometric tolerances 8. Good communication skills
