Business Finland is a partner for Finnish companies in international growth. The Senior Advisor facilitates Finnish companies’ internationalization efforts by having deep understanding of the market demands in either Bio & Circular Economy, Digitization, Manufacturing or Machinery industry, as well as activates and advices the companies to tap into the opportunities in the region. Senior advisor also develops strong networks in relevant industries for being able to keep himself / herself updated constantly on the changing market demands and receive first-hand information about new projects the in region.
The Senior Advisor will be based in Guangzhou office and the operational area covers Pearl River Delta area, including HK SAR. Senior advisor reports to the Team Leader of China based in Beijing.
In this role you will enable Finnish companies to succeed in their internationalization efforts in the Chinese market, as well as to identify local business opportunities and sales leads. You will work closely with the Embassy of Finland in Beijing and Consulate General of Finland in Hong Kong.
Your role includes, but is not limited to: • Promoting Finnish exports; • Identifying and developing local networks for relevant industry sectors and government authorities; • Advising and guiding Finnish companies together with various service providers in the market; • Identifying business opportunities and sales leads for Finnish companies;

We also expect you to have:
• Master´s degree (business administration/management preferred); • Over 12 years working experience in trade, sales, marketing or business development with international companies or organizations, experiences in leading projects are preferred; • Capability to build up government relations; • Good interpersonal and practical problem solving skills, innovativeness and proactivity; • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and presentation skills in both Chinese (mandarin and cantonese both is an advantage) and English; • Multitasking capabilities and ability to cooperate; • Capability to take initiative and work independently as well as with a team; • Living and working experience in the Shenzhen or Guangzhou areas with established networks and understanding of the business life as well as the local culture.
