Job Description : 1. Field Trial Lead field trials (Track, Fleet and Field) in order to test new products or demonstrate product performance, with focus on PCMO lubricants. This includes: Work with PL and TM to setup plans and goals for field trials. Identify resources needed and budget requirement. Coordinate with field trial technician and fleet workshop to monitor trial progress, oil sampling and analysis to ensure timely delivery of the project. Inspect and rate engine or driveline hardware to evaluate lubricants performance Issue report once a milestone is reached and when trial is completed.
2. Chassis dynamometer/Engine and Driveline Test Coordinate with local 3rd party suppliers to run Chassis Dynamo or Engine and Driveline Tests. Provide input and feedback to PL and TM in terms of resource identification, test design and data interpretation Manage 3rd party supplier to ensure Shell HSE and quality standard are met.
3. Rig and component tests Support difference technology teams in setting up rig and component tests when in-depth knowledge in mechanical engineering is required.
Requirements : Academic qualifications, minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Experience of working in automotive or other machinery industries is preferred.
Experience in hardware design is a plus.
Proven team working, inter-personal & networking skills, preferably in a virtual environment
Knowledge of key building blocks of lubricant formulations and manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory
Track record of working with external partners, including customers and OEMs and internally with technical support functions, most notably LTA and PAS teams
Proven record of delivery, with evidence of drive and creativity coupled with a structured and disciplined approach to project management
Good report writing and presentation skills desirable
Strong proficiency in English language
Vigilant with Safety/HSSE mindset while performing any activities at all times
