The successful candidate will lead the Supply Chain department and direct the company's overall global supply chain management strategies to maximize effectiveness, continuity of supply, cost savings, capital savings, process control, and scalability. Responsibilities Include: • Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the global supply chain to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times and reduce inventories • Create structure, hire/train staff, develop personnel, give direction, integrate/leverage global capabilities, and hold team members accountable • Build strong strategic alliances with internal and external partners to achieve key objectives • Continuously develop/enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes • Implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory and vendor management • Interview and interact with prospective vendors to identify offered products and pricing • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and strategic suppliers • Acquire quotes, pricing, product information, data sheets, sourcing and samples on both new, and existing products • Advise executives on supply chain capabilities, constraints, and concerns that threaten quality delivery, costs, and lead times • Recommend short-term actions to mitigate impacts and long-term strategies to avoid reoccurrence • All other similarly related responsibilities as assigned by the senior management team Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience within supply chain or purchasing Skills & Abilities: • Demonstrated negotiation skills to reduce costs, improve terms, conditions, and lead times • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, negotiating, and interpersonal skills • Advanced ERP or MRP purchasing systems skills and knowledge • Minimum of five years of experience in a manager or director level role is required.
