Frank Stronach, Magna’s founder, opened a tool and die shop in Toronto, Ontario in 1957 which would eventually become Magna. The Austrian-born entrepreneur worked hard to build the business and in 1959 landed his first automotive contract making sun visor brackets for General Motors Oshawa.
